Riverton–CenterCal Properties’ newest mixed-use project, Mountain View Village, will hold a ceremony to dedicate its community space in memory of the late John Ward, Harmons Grocery chief financial officer. The dedication will be held Thursday, September 27th, from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the park area by the bronze eagle statue, ‘Majestic.’

The dedication will commence with brief remarks from Fred Bruning, CenterCal Chief Executive Officer; David Anderson, General Manager of Mountain View Village; Brian Keith, the artist who created ‘Majestic’; Dean Peterson, Harmons Grocery President; and Jan Ward, wife of John Ward. Mr. Keith’s wife, Lanisa Keith, will perform the national anthem; she has sung the anthem at major league baseball and NBA basketball games. The short ceremony, highlighted by the John and Jan Ward plaque unveiling, will be followed by food, live music and entertainment, prizes, and giveaway items.

“Harmons Grocery is the keystone of the Mountain View Village property,” remarked Mr. Bruning. “My friend and business associate John Ward played a significant role in the growth and success of CenterCal. We are dedicating the park to honor John’s life and his commitment to his work, community, friends, and family.”

Before his sudden and unexpected passing in early 2017, John Ward worked with close friend and CenterCal CEO Fred Bruning to bring Harmons to Mountain View Village. They had worked together previously when Harmons became the anchor tenant at CenterCal’s Station Park property in Farmington in 2009.

“Harmons Grocery shares CenterCal’s focus, which is developing places where communities can gather by creating high quality, people-oriented locations,” said David Anderson, General Manager of Mountain View Village. “We are honored to carry on John Ward’s memory in Mountain View Village through the John Ward Plaza with the beautiful, commemorative plaque.”

Mountain View Village is also excited to announce these new restaurants and retailers that are opening in the coming months:
