OGDEN — Police have opened a homicide investigation after a body was found Monday in an alley in Ogden.
Residents of an apartment complex called police about 7 a.m, reporting they had seen a body in the walkway near 2600 Monroe Boulevard, said Ogden Police Lt. Tim Scott.
“Right now, we believe there was a relationship between the victim and the suspects involved,” Scott said. “It’s not what we would consider a random act.”
He did not provide details on any evidence of foul play or how the person died, saying detectives have a possible lead on a suspect.
The discovery comes a day after a woman’s body was found Sunday in a canal in the business depot area of Ogden, near 1000 W. 600 North. An autopsy is underway.
Police did not say whether they believe the earlier death was suspicious.
They believe the two deaths are unrelated.
